The radio music show “A Funk Above The Rest” is fast becoming one of the most popular radio programs on the airwaves! The show can be heard broadcasting from KUVO radio, 89.3FM, (the “Major Market Jazz Station” for the years 2005/2006) on Saturday nights from Denver, Colorado. The show has listeners tuning in from all over the world! Host, Skip the “Funktologist” is filling a void that is long overdue. The shows musical format and foundation is “1st school funk”!

We play the music from the early days of funk, right up to the present. For over 5 decades now, funk music has been an integral part of musical existence. Unfortunately, due to changes in the music industry, shifts in radio programming, and many other things we don’t have the space to mention, this style of music is not at the forefront as it once was. Yet, there is an undeniable need to restore it to its rightful position of recognition. The music show “A Funk Above The Rest” is doing just that!!!
